Neuromuscular Massage Therapy for Injury and Postural Realignment
Description:
Neuromuscular Massage Therapy (NMT) is a specialized form of massage therapy that focuses on treating soft tissue injuries and correcting postural imbalances. This therapeutic approach involves the application of precise, targeted pressure to specific areas of muscle and connective tissue, helping to relieve pain, restore function, and improve overall posture. It also involves deep tissue massage and fascia release techniques.
In this session I may also include other modalities such as Dolphin Stim Micro-current and Rapid Release percussive massage instrument depending on the clients needs.
Purpose:
The primary purpose of neuromuscular massage therapy is to:
- Alleviate Pain: Reduce chronic pain and discomfort caused by muscle tension, trigger points, and soft tissue injuries.
- Enhance Recovery: Accelerate the healing process for injuries by improving blood flow and reducing inflammation.
- Improve Posture: Correct postural imbalances by addressing muscle tightness and weakness, leading to better alignment and reduced strain on the body.
- Increase Mobility: Enhance flexibility and range of motion by releasing muscle tension and adhesions.
- Prevent Future Injuries: Strengthen and condition muscles to prevent recurrent injuries and improve overall physical function.
